What is communication

In my opinion, communication is a process of encoding and decoding. The agent of code could be language, visual forms, material, multi-media, and so on. When we communicate, in other words, when we are encoding and decoding, a "third space" called by Homi Bhabha is created. So in cross culture or cross language communication, a "third space", a new meaning that exists in neither of the two culture or language, is created through negotiation. Usually, those information that we are familiar with, such as food, drink, concepts that pre-existed in our own culture, could travel more smoothly than other information. Therefore, if we want to communicate with people from other culture or language, we should use the topic, language, or concepts that they are familiar with to deliver our language.
